Description
- Here is an unusual 1950’s Navajo pin with turquoise cluster. The pin is round and is set with 8 turquoise stones in a ring around a center stone. Each stone is set in a handmade plain bezel.
- The turquoise is a vivid blue, with coppery matrix. All of the stones at one time had holes made in them, most likely for a tab necklace, but the holes have all been carefully filled in. The holes add to the charm and distinction of this piece.
- There are large applied silver balls between the outer turquoise stones. The silver background has been oxidized darker for decorative effect.
- The pin measures 2-1/4 inches in diameter, and weighs 32 grams (1.1 ounces). This 1950’s Navajo pin with turquoise cluster is unmarked sterling, not signed, and in great condition with a wonderful vintage patina.
