Description
- A beautiful, very old Akimel O'oaham (Pima) basket with geometric design dating to the early 1900's. This Pima Indian basket features stacked triangle and inverse triangle designs on both the outside and inside of the basket in black devil’s claw.
- This Akimel O'oaham (Pima) basket measures approximately 8 ¼” in diameter and stands 4 ¼” tall. It is very finely coiled with approximately 9 coils/inch and 3 rows per inch.
- This Akimel O'oaham (Pima) basket is in excellent condition. It is very firm and has minimal or no damage. There is a small separation or hole at the center of the basket’s bottom, and there are a few separated stitches along the rim. As with most vintage baskets, there is slight color variation.
