Description
- This is a lovely sterling silver pin with two amethysts by the legendary Margot de Taxco. The pin dates to the 1950's. The design is flowing and detailed, with curving leaf shapes, silver balls and two amethysts set like flower buds in thick silver bezels. This pin is rendered with the attention to quality characteristic of this designer.
- The pin measures 2-5/8 inches wide by 1-1/4 inches high, has a substantial weight for its size, and has a lovely vintage patina. It is signed Margot de Taxco with the inventory number 5319 and is also marked "Made in Mexico Sterling" with an Eagle 16 mark. This striking pin is in excellent condition.
