Description
- A beautiful contemporary Navajo sterling silver concho belt with green turquoise. The belt has a rectangular buckle and 9 large oval conchos.
- The buckle measures 3-1/4 inches long by 2-1/4 inches high, and is set with a large rectangular piece of turquoise. There is detailed hand stamping and 6 repousse ovals around the stone. The edges are decoratively scalloped.
- Each concho measures 3-1/4 inches long by 2-3/4 inches high, and is set with a large oval piece of turquoise. There is detailed hand stamping around the turquoise and around the scalloped edges. Each concho has two copper loops soldered to the back of the concho allowing the concho to be strung on belt leather.
- The turquoise is deep green with varying patterns of dark brown matrix. Each piece of turquoise is set in a deep toothed bezel.
- The black leather belt is 52 inches long and 1-1/4 inches wide.
- The belt buckle is marked sterling, and signed, Navajo, D. Martinez. This is the hallmark of Dan Martinez, a noted contemporary Navajo silversmith who is reviving classic Navajo styles with a reputation for detail and quality. This Navajo sterling silver concho belt is new and never-worn condition.
