Description
- This is a very handsome and rugged vintage Navajo cuff bracelet set with three pieces of turquoise. Each piece of turquoise is roughly triangular and is set obliquely, for a dynamic design. The turquoise is light blue, but one of the end pieces has turned greenish with age. Two of the pieces of turquoise have well-healed horizontal cracks in them, visible in the photos, but are secure in their settings.
- The bracelet behind the turquoise is stamped in an unusual and intricate all-over stippled design. There is twisted silver wire framing the sides. The cuff itself is a split shank with raised rims, nicely finished off at capped terminals on the inside.
- The inside measurement is 5-1/4 inches, with a 1-1/2 inch gap, for a total of 6-3/4 inches. There is no flexibility for adjustment. The cuff measures just over 1-1/8 inches wide and is heavy for its size, at 64 grams (2.4 ounces).
