Description
- his beautiful, contemporary one of a kind Santo Domingo inlay pin pendant was made by Mary Tafoya. The piece is roughly rectangular and was inspired by Navajo rug designs. The stones used are black jet, blue turquoise, dark red spiny oyster, white marble and pale yellow-green serpentine. The back is a piece of green serpentine.
- The pin measures 2-3/8 inches high by 2 inches high and has a substantial weight to it. On the back is a generous bale measuring about 1/4 inch which would allow this piece to be worn as a pendant on a chain or cord.
- Signed LT on the back (Mary Tafoya sometimes uses the initials of her husband, Lorenzo Tafoya, but this piece was crafted by her), this lovely piece is in new and never-worn condition.
