Description
- This large and attractive Navajo ring is set with three "sea foam" turquoise nuggets. The ring dates to the 1960's or 1970's.
- The turquoise is light blue-green with highly irregular surfaces and lots of pitting. Each nugget is set in a handmade plain bezel and surrounded by twisted wire. The top and bottom ends of the ring are decorated with applied silver scroll and half-circle shapes.
- The ring's split shank is hand stamped all around with bear claw and bear track designs.
- The front of the ring measures 2-3/4 inches high by about 1-1/8 inches wide. The shank measures about 1/4 inch wide at the back. The ring is a size 12, and weighs a hefty 24 grams (.9 ounce).
- Apart from the remnant of an old label on the back, this ring is in excellent condition, with an attractive vintage patina. The ring is unmarked sterling and is signed ALK.
